SEAGATE SERVICES EXPANDS DATA RECOVERY RESELLER RELATIONSHIPS THROUGHOUT EUROPE

SEAGATE SERVICES EXPANDS DATA RECOVERY RESELLER RELATIONSHIPS THROUGHOUT EUROPE

Today the Seagate Services Group, a division of Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX) announced the expansion of its Value-Added Reseller (VAR) program providing enhanced business opportunities for new and existing partners. This program, coupled with the launch of its broad-spectrum data recovery lab facility in Amsterdam in April of this year, enables Seagate Services to offer partners the ability to profitably deliver complex physical and logical data recovery, migration and data management capabilities to enterprise, small and medium businesses, and consumers across Europe.

“The rapid proliferation of digital data at home and in the workplace is creating new market opportunities for VARs who want to deliver additional services to their customers,” said Kees Nielen, General Manager for Seagate Services EMEA. “Data recovery and management services are increasingly critical as the value of personal and business data far outweighs the cost of the media and computer systems on which it is stored. When digital content is lost or inaccessible, customers need reliable, secure and professional recovery services.”

Seagate Services Data Recovery offers its partners one of the industry’s highest success rates for recovering data from any brand or type of media, including computer disk drives, RAID arrays, external drives, flash media, tape and optical media including CDs and DVDs. The Amsterdam Lab facility enables the company to offer an in-house programming department, extensive inventory of component parts, and a comprehensive library of specialised equipment to recover data from different types of media formats, old and new.  The VAR program leverages these capabilities by delivering a variety of benefits to partners that enable them to easily and profitably deliver superior solutions to their customers.  Key program benefits include:

    • Advanced pricing for the Channel for flexible quoting
    • Accessing the experience and expertise of one of the world’s leading data storage companies
    • Free diagnostic evaluation
    • A “No Fee, No Recovery” policy
    • Free pick up and return shipment for customers
    • ISO Certified guidelines for data recovery

“The market for data recovery is experiencing dramatic growth and the opening of our European SuperLab has enabled us to better service the needs of our customers and partners,” said Kellogg Fairbank, UK Business Development Manager with the Seagate Services Data Recovery. “This, combined with the benefits of our new VAR program, empowers our partners to provide reliable recovery services that they can successfully and profitably deliver to their customers.”
